George Washington George Washington was born on February 22,1732, in Westmoreland, Virginia. Georges family believed in austere work, public service, and worshiping God. When George was seven division old, his family go to a 260 acre farm in Fredericksburg, Virginia and he started to school. His studies consisted of math, history and a little bit of literature and foreign langu get along. He however attended school for eight years so he had no formal education. During the year he was gone, he became a man. In 1749, George lived in Mt. Vernon alone and became the official surveyor for Culpepper County, Virginia.
